3 Cookie recipes

Layered Cookie

Melt ½ pound butter in 9×11 inch pan

Remove from heat

Mix into butter 2 cups graham cracker crumbs


1 pkg 6 oz Chocolate Chips

1 pkg 6 oz Butter scotch Chips

and if desired add

some white Choc. Chips

Some Heath Toffee Chips

Drizzle 1 “Eagle Brand” Sweetened Cond. Milk

And then add

1 cup chopped nuts to all or half of the pan

Bake 350 for 25 mins

Freezes well


Russian Tea Cakes

Mix thoroughly:

1 c soft butter

½ c powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

Mix together:

2 ¼ c sifted flour

¼ tsp salt

¾ c finely chopped walnuts

Mix everything together

Squirt in a little green food coloring if desired

Chill dough

Roll into 1 inch balls

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet

400 for 10 mins until SET not BROWN

While still warm roll in powdered sugar

Cool and roll a 2nd time




1 c butter

2/3 c sugar

3 egg yolks

1 tsp vanilla or almond

Work in with hands:

2 ½ c sifted flour

Squirt in a little red or green food coloring if desired

Bake, ungreased 400

For 7 to 10 mins

Until set not Brown

I’m making all of these, as I do every Christmas, plus the date cookies.
