One, of many, styles of covering

My husband grew up Catholic

(He was born again as an adult, just like me )

and he remembers all of the women
wearing hats and veils when he was a child.

He also remembers that the church itself would “lend” a woman a lacy
head covering in the event she forgot hers or was perhaps a
visitor and didn’t know to bring one with her.

I think that’s interesting.

This is the head covering I see most often when movies or newspapers or television shows the “Catholic” style of covering.
